The Lesson Learned

Our God represents Himself to us as “Father” showing mercy and tender approachability in lieu of His majesty and might. He is our wise God and knows what is best for His children and how to bring it into fruition. He lovingly leads and guides us and always has our best interest at heart in all He allows. His thoughts and ways being supremely higher than our own.
As earthly parents we often falter in wisdom in knowing how to love our children rightly, even having our child’s best interest at heart. But God, is perfect wisdom and knowledge, and we can trust Him with the proper handling of our lives to always be for our very best. He works all things for the good of His saints and we can trust Him to do so as He is a Master of picking up the broken pieces and making beauty out of our ashes. He who makes known the end from the beginning knows what is best for His child, Amen? He also knows best how to comfort us when we perceive the things He allows in our lives not to be for our best and certainly not of our choosing. He knows when affliction is necessary – when it is best to give a bitter portion in order for us to grow deep roots in Him. He wants us to depend upon Him and His mighty power in all things. We can know that when He allows us to suffer these trials and grief our faith, of greater worth than gold, may be proved genuine and result in praise and honor when Jesus is revealed as 1 Peter 1:6 tells us. Nothing happens to us by chance or happenstance and God uses all things He allows for our good and His glory. He knows how to make beauty out of our ashes.
God desires for His children to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge as the great Apostle writes in Ephesians. This steadfast love of God is the highest love. We cannot love our own souls as entirely as God loves us – His treasures and riches towards us being inexhaustible. God is faithful to bring into completion the work He has begun in every believers life.

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (NIV)
